Abramovich makes two demand to Chelsea new owners
Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich has made two demands to whoever ends up as Chelsea new owner.
The billionaire demanded that Chelsea’s new owners continue to invest in the Blues squad and pledge to redevelop Stamford Bridge, Sky Sports reports.
Recall that Abramovich announced that he had put Chelsea up for sale, insisting that the decision is in Chelsea’s ‘best interest’.
This comes after the threat of sanctions from the UK Government.
It’s understood that Abramovich, who bought Chelsea for £140 million back in 2003, has set a £3 billion asking price.
The report revealed that Abramovich is also keen to find a suitable buyer for Chelsea, as he wants the new owners to continue to replenish the squad with new signings, as well as oversee a revamp of the stadium.
As of now, at least ten companies have shown interest to become the news owners at Stamford Bridge.
The latest being a Saudi Arabian consortium, according to a report via goal.com.
It is believed that within the next few days, new owners will be announced.
