36-year-old defender encourages Chelsea over stuttering form
Chelsea have been battling a poor form since the festive period and it has continued in January as they have been unable to regain their form and have won only one game in their last five matches.
Their latest 2-0 defeat to Leicester City has heightened the pressure on the coach, Frank Lampard with his job now on the line.
They have now dropped out from the top four on the league table.
However, centre-back defender, Thiago Silva has encouraged his teammates and fans over the stuttering form.
Silva, who has been a regular player in the Blues team since his move to Stamford Bridge on a free transfer in the summer transfer window in 2020 recently took to his Instagram account to stressed that the Blues will be able to turn things around in the coming games.
Thiago Silva after the defeat to Leicester City wrote on IG “Nobody said it was going to be easy.”
He stated that a lot of effort, determination, courage and dedication is required to win.
“Everything happens for a reason. We need to give our blood and sweat. I am convinced we will meet our objectives! Come on @chelseafc,” Silva added.
Chelsea will hope to bounce back when they face Luton Town in the FA Cup this weekend at Stamford Bridge.
