Chelsea warned against selling Mount

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has advised m Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly against selling midfielder Mason Mount in the summer transfer window.

Merson in his statement stressed that the England international has been Chelsea’s best player in recent seasons and was outstanding last year,

According to the former England winger, it would be ‘bad business’ for the Blues to let Mount, who came through the club’s youth formation join a Premier League rival.

There are no doubts Mouth has established himself as a mainstay in the Blues squad over the past four seasons.

Mouth, a youth team product has made 192 appearances for the west London side, helping them to win the Champions League under Thomas Tuchel.

“Mason Mount was by far Chelsea’s best player last season. He was outstanding,” Merson told Sky Sports.

Mount has been tipped to leave in the summer especially as he has refused to agree to the Blues’ new contract terms.
