Chelsea new owner assures Tuchel of at least 6 new players this summer

Chelsea’s new American owner Todd Boehly has given word of assurance to Thomas Tuchel as he said the club would sign six players this summer, according to the Telegraph.

The report released there has been discussion between Tuchel and Boehly, who is the Blues’ acting sporting director following the departure of Marina Granovskaia, took place this week.

According to the report, Boehly will provide a £200 million budget that could be boosted further by the sale of several players who could be deemed surplus to requirements.

Chelsea are in a race to sign a new forward as Romelu Lukaku has been linked with a return to Inter Milan on loan.

The report revealed the deal is closed to being a done deal in the coming days.

Some of the players on Chelsea’s target list include Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling, Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, Juventus’ Matthijs de Ligt and the trio of Brazil internationals, Gabriel Jesus, Raphinha and Richarlison.

So far, like Man Utd, Chelsea are yet to sign any key player this summer.
