Chelsea have been named among the clubs, who have contacted Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix‘s agent, Jorge Mendes, as his client is looking for potential new clubs.
The Blues are expected to make moves for a new attacker in the January transfer window as Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are both linked with potential Stamford Bridge exit over lack of game time.
However, Chelsea will face a huge challenge if the two attackers end up leaving as it is usually hard finding a suitable replacement as clubs are understandably reluctant to let go of their valuable players mid-season.
This means to sign Felix, Chelsea would have to spend big.
According to Romano, Felix wants to leave Atletico in 2023 and the Spanish club is also open to accepting offers for the player.
“His agent, Jorge Mendes, is exploring possibilities with clubs,” the Italian journalist said on his YouTube channel.
“For the moment, there are still negotiations ongoing with Atletico, but his agent is trying to find a solution.
“With [Paris Saint-Germain], the relationship is great, with Chelsea and Manchester United, there are always conversations, so it’s normal now to explore the market.”
