Brighton defender, Marc Cucurella, who was linked with moves to Chelsea arrived in London ahead of finalizing his medical with the Blues.
Cucurella underwent his medical tests on Thursday night before the relevant documents are signed between all parties.
This was confirmed by transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
“Marc Cucurella is in London as expected since yesterday and he’s now currently undergoing medical tests with Chelsea.
“It’s the final step, then waiting for documents to be signed between clubs then join Chelsea. Here we go confirmed,” Romano tweeted.
Chelsea will pay in excess of £50 million for his services, while their defender Levi Colwill is expected to go the other way in the deal.
Cucurella is Chelsea’s third major signing this summer and their second defender.
He is expected to join Kalidou Koulibaly at the Blues’ defence.
