Winger set to leave Arsenal on loan

Arsenal winger, Marquinhos is close to leaving the club this summer window after agreeing on a deal to join Nantes on loan.

Recall that the North London side had signed the 20-year-old in a £3million deal from Sao Paulo last summer.

The Brazil winger, however, managed to make only six appearances for Arsenal before he was allowed to join Norwich City on loan in the January transfer window.

Although Marquinhos trained with Arsenal’s squad during pre-season, he was left out of the squad during their win over EPL champions Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.

In a recent update via Ouest-France, Marquinhos is now close to joining Nantes on loan for the new upcoming 2023/24 season.

The report, however, added that Nantes’ deal with Arsenal doesn’t include an option to buy Marquinhos at the end of the loan spell.
