Top priority: Arsenal in race for this Ajax centre back

Football clubs across Europe are bracing up for the summer transfer window and Arsenal are not left out.

Popular transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal, who are in the race to win a Premier League title this season, want to sign Ajax centre-back, Jorrel Hato.

Romano in a statement said Hato is one of the Gunners top targets for the summer transfer window.

Hato, who is 18, made his debut for Ajax last season but has gone on to established himself as a regular player in the first team this season.

While his deal with the Dutch side doesn’t end  until 2028, Arsenal are determine to sign the player this summer and are already preparing a move.

Romano while speaking on the Here We Go podcast said Ajax are more than willing to keep the defender, who recently signed a new deal, at the club.

The Italian transfer expert, however, stressed that the Gunners are still keeping tabs on him, having tracked him multiple times.

Arsenal believe Hato is a top centre back in terms of potential and is part of the reasons they are still pushing for him.

The Premier League side are believe to be the frontrunners in the race to sign him.
