Three clubs that have what it takes to win EPL title this season

Former Arsenal star Paul Merson has named the three football clubs that stand a chance of winning the English Premier League this season.

Merson named his former club among the favourites while reviewing their 2-2 draw against Manchester City for Sky Sports.

According to the former footballer, the outcome of the match is proof that the North London side will be fighting to win their first title in 21 years.

Aside from Arsenal, Merson also included Liverpool, who are now being manager by Arne Slot, Jurgen Klopp’s replacement, as another team that will be competing for the Premier League title.

Merson stated that Arsenal have a togetherness which is needed to win leagues. According to the former midfielder, the Gunners have got that in abundance alongside Manchester City.

While stressed that Liverpool also have it as well, he, however, added that he doesn’t see the same at clubs like Manchester United, for example.

Merson said Arsenal are firmly competing for the title this season.

Recall that Arsenal and their manager Mikel Arteta have missed two chances of lifting the English Premier League title two times in a row to Man City.

This campaign Pep Gaurdiola’s men are already leading the race once again.
