Terms Agreed: Arsenal reportedly agree personal terms with highly rated midfielder worth £14.5M
Premier League side Arsenal are moving closer towards announcing their first signing for this summer transfer window as they agree on personal terms with Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Gunners have been linked with some players ever since the transfer window opened some months ago.
Ben White has been linked with the London club and Rennes midfielder Renato Sanches who has shone brightly for Portugal at the 2020 European tournament.
However, Arsenal seems to have found a breakthrough in the pursuit of Lokonga, who put in an impressive performance for Anderlecht last season.
Lokonga is willing to continue his football career with Arsenal but the gunners are yet to agree to the transfer fee with Anderlecht.
According to Nieuwsblad, Arsenal have increased their offer after Paars-wit rejected a €14m (£12m) bid rising to €17m (£14.5m) with add-ons.
Despite that the gunners are having issues sorting out a deal with Anderlecht, they’ve agreed on personal terms with Lokonga, and it’s only a matter of time before the deal is completed.
Arsenal finished in ninth place on the Premier League table last season and are willing to bring back the glory days to Emirate Stadium.
