Terms Agreed: Arsenal ready to sign Anderlecht midfielder
Arsenal are supposedly making progress in their attempts to sign Albert Sambi Lokonga subsequent to agreeing personal terms with the Anderlecht youngster.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is on the lookout for another midfielder after Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos’ returns to Real Madrid, while Granit Xhaka has indicated that a move to Roma is inevitable.
The Gunners have since been intensely connected with a move for Anderlecht youngster Lokonga, and they are accepted to have had an initial bid of £13.5m dismissed by the Belgian outfit.
Presently, writer Fabrizio Romano reports that Arsenal have effectively agreed personal terms with Lokonga, who is interested to tie down a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Romano adds that Arsenal have returned with a forthright fee of €17.5m (£15m) for the 21-year-old, and Anderlecht could make a sum of €22m (£18.9m) with possible add-ons.
Lokonga would be leaving Anderlecht having scored three goals and seven assists more in 78 appearances, and he made the bench for Belgium’s friendly draw with Greece recently.
