Rice slams teammates after Arsenal’s defeat to Bournemouth
Arsenal midfielder, Declan Rice, has reacted to the Gunners’ performance against Bournemouth on Saturday at Vitality stadium.
Rice in a reaction chose to hit out at his teammates for being careless after William Saliba was showed a red card in their Premier League 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday.
According to the England international, Arsenal cannot continue making unnecessary mistakes.
Speaking in a post-match statement, Rice told reporters via ESPN that the North London club kicked themselves in the foot three times in eight games and they got away with it at home to Brighton and away at Manchester City. Bournemouth kept probing and made it 2-0.
He, however, added that he was proud of the players for fighting, even with 10 men but the naivety, they need to stop making mistakes because we want 11 players for 90 minutes as that is what wins football matches.
“We can’t make silly mistakes. You need all your best players on the pitch at all times,” Rice said.
Arsenal will now hope to return to winning ways in their next Premier League game is against Liverpool next weekend.
The North London club remains at the third spot on the Premier League table.
