Not Man City or Chelsea, Ferdinand names only team that can challenge Liverpool

As the Premier League returns this weekend after the international break, former Man Utd star Rio Ferdinand has named Arsenal as the only club that can challenged Liverpool this season.
So far this season, the Reds led by manager Arne Slot are the only team with a perfect record after three matches.
Before the start of the season, Ferdinand had predicted that only Liverpool and Manchester City would be in the running to emerge champions.
He, however, has now replaced Pep Guardiola’s side with Arsenal.
Arsenal started the campaign with victories over Manchester United and Leeds United before losing 1-0 to Liverpool before the international break.
On the other hand, Manchester City have lost two of their three opening games and are seated outside the top 10 on the league table at the moment.
“I think the only team who will be anywhere near Liverpool this season is Arsenal,” Ferdinand said via MailSport.
According to the former Man Utd star, Arsenal have a great squad, real good depth with who they’ve bought in the summer transfer window.
He believed that Newcastle or Chelsea, who also stand a chance of competing for the Premier League title could be hinder by European football this season.
