Arsenal defender, Maldini Kacurri, in a recent statement has commented on report of him penning a new contract with the club.

Recall that reports emerged that Kacurri was among the seven players that recently signed a new contract with the North London club.

The defender in a statement via the club’s official website on Tuesday said he felt proud after signing the new deal.

Kacurri expressed his excitement about the deal as he said it was something he has been working towards his whole life.

He disclosed that he and his family were proud of his recent achievements as he had felt welcome at Arsenal from the beginning.

Kacurri made 13 appearances for Arsenal coach Jack Wilshere’s under-18s in the U18 Premier League last season.

Aside from Kacurri, other players who signed a new deal with the Gunners are Brian Okonkwo, Josh Nichols, Ismeal Kabia, Harrison Dudziak, Sebastian Ferdinand, and Osman Kamara.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are working on bolstering their manager Mikel Arteta’s squad this summer transfer window.
