Jesus’ boost for Gunners ahead of faceoff with Liverpool

Arsenal have handed a major boost ahead of their next game against Premier League winners Liverpool as a new update about Gabriel Jesus emerged.

According to reports, Jesus has stepped up in his recovery after sustaining a knee injury that kept him out of the squad at the start of the year.

Recall that the 28-year-old Brazil international underwent ACL surgery after he sustained injury in Arsenal’s FA Cup third round defeat to Manchester United back in January.

His injury was part of the reason the North London bolstered their attack line with new players like Noni Madueke, Viktor Gyokeres and Eberechi Eze in the summer window.

The recent update has further fueled speculations about Jesus’ return, which will add to the options available to Arsenal.

On Sunday, the Brazil star shared a video of himself training on the grass on social media and wrote: “It’s been seven months of pain, uncertainty, and anxiety. Today, I finally feel light, like a child playing football again. GOD IS GREAT.”

The news about Jesus’ return comes after Arsenal key players Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard sustained injuries during their victory against Leeds United on Saturday.
