He is very good: Arsenal’s incoming star from Ajax tipped to shine

Former Manchester United star, Jaap Stam has applauded Arsenal for making a move to sign Jurrien Timber from Dutch club Ajax this summer.

Stam in a statement tipped Timber to be a success for the Gunners in the Premier League when he finally arrives.

Stam also described Timber as a very good player, adding that everyone likes him in his country.

The reports revealed the North London club have already completed a £34million deal with Ajax for Timber, who is expected to arrive any time soon.

“He is a very good player that we all like in Holland,” Stam told charleswatts.football. “So for him, making that step to Arsenal is a very positive one.

“And when I look at Arsenal, I see a team where all the players are very comfortable and very dominant on the ball as well, so I think he can be very successful in doing that for them.”

“At Ajax, we can all talk about his performances last season, but he was still one of the best players.

“He’s shown when he plays with better players around him that he can be an exceptional player.”
