Guardiola hails these two Arsenal stars after 2-2 draw
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola recently gave credit to two Arsenal players after their Premier League 2-2 draw on Sunday at Etihad.
According to Guardiola, Riccardo Calafiori scored an exceptional goal, while Gabriel Magalhães was so strong against Man City.
Recall that goals from Erling Haaland, Calafiori, Gabriel and John Stones ensured the two rivals shared points at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola said in his post-match interview that many things happened in the second three or four.
He stressed that Man City had the passion to fight, like in the last two years, against the North London side who want to take over the Premier League title from them.
“Calafiori made an exceptional goal. We have to defend the second goal but give credit to them. Gabriel is so strong,” Guardiola said.
He noted that the duo block players in the first post so because it happens every game, he has to give credit for them.
Meanwhile, the duo of Calafiori and Gabriel could return to action during the week when the Gunners face Bolton in the EFL.
They will hope to maintain their form against the Bolton by returning with a win in the EFL tournaments.
