Gabriel Jesus’ replacement picked at Arsenal
Arsenal have picked a new player to replace former Man City star Gabriel Jesus at Emirates Stadium.
The report revealed Emile Smith Rowe could become an option for Arsenal’s No. 9 role after Jesus underwent surgery on his knee.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has previously talked about the midfielder’s adaptability.
Following his surgery, Jesus is expected to be unavailable for a few weeks after he sat out Wednesday’s Emirates Cup game against Monaco.
Aside from Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun are the other strikers in Arteta’s squad, while Leandro Trossard played the role several times last season.
However, there are also chances the Gunners could sign a new frontman, especially if Balogun leaves this summer, but Smith Rowe may be able to save the club some money.
Smith Rowe was out of action for most of last season owing to groin issues as he made only 12 appearances in the league, all from the bench.
