FA Cup: Sutton shares why he doesn’t trust Man Utd to defeat Arsenal

Ahead of the FA Cup clash between Manchester United and Arsenal this weekend, former Chelsea star Chris Sutton has shared his prediction and his favourite to emerge winner.

Sutton tipped Arsenal led by Mikel Arteta to secure a win over Manchester United at Emirates Stadium.

While the Red Devils are heading to the match after a draw against Premier League toppers Liverpool, the Gunners, on the other hand, will be hoping to bounce back after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg.

Recall that Manchester United won the FA Cup last season under Erik ten Hag and will hope to retain the title this season under their new manager Ruben Amorim.

Going by history, Arsenal have defeated Manchester United seven times in the FA Cup competition’s history, more than any other side.

Sutton who predicted the game to end in a narrow 1-0 win in favour of Arsenal, stated that the way the Red Devils celebrated their recent draw against Liverpool showed how far they have fallen.

“I remember a time when any dropped points by them were treated as a disaster. This is a very difficult tie for them to do that. I don’t trust United to get a result at Emirates Stadium yet,” he said via BBC Sport.
