EPL: Arsenal vs Newcastle United: Possible prediction

Former Arsenal star and pundit Paul Merson in a recent statement, has predicted the outcome of the match between his former club and Newcastle.

Arsenal will on Saturday return to action in EPL after their last week defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

The Gunners will hope to bounce back by defeating the Toffees this weekend.

Merson, in his prediction, tipped the Gunners to defeat Newcastle with a 3-0 scoreline.

According to him, Newcastle Utd doesn’t stand a chance against Arsenal, who had earlier gone 10-game unbeaten before Liverpool ended the record last weekend.

Providing his predictions, Merson told Sportskeeda, “I would expect Arsenal to get back on the horse against Newcastle.

“Arsenal were on a 10-game unbeaten streak before Liverpool ended their purple patch. Newcastle showed signs of improvement against Brentford but will find it difficult to keep Arsenal at bay. Arsenal 3, Newcastle United 0.”

Newcastle Utd are under new management after Saudi Consortium took them over.

While this season seems not to be going their way, Newcastle Utd are one of the clubs to look out for next season as they are hoping to sign new players in the transfer window.
