Arsenal could sign one more players before the close of the summer transfer window.

The Gunners who recently signed Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace have been linked with moves for a new defender Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen.

A recent update disclosed that Hincapie has handed the Gunners a transfer boost after he reached an agreement over personal terms with Arsenal.

Hincapie prefers to sign for the Gunners amid several interest from other clubs including Arsenal’s north London neighbours, Tottenham Hotspur.

The 23-year-old defender is also viewed by manager Mikel Arteta as the right player to add to his squad as they prepare to compete for the Premier League title this season.

With the Gunners set to offload Jakub Kiwior to FC Porto, there would be space for the Ecuadorian defender.

Hincapie would be a plus for Arsenal as he can play at left-back and in the centre of defence.
