It is another win for Arsenal in the ongoing summer transfer window as they seal a deal for a new goalkeeper for their manager Mikel Arteta ahead of next season.

According to a new report, Arsenal have confirmed that they have sealed a deal for Tommy Setford from Ajax for a fee said to be around region of €1 million plus add-ons.

The 18-year-old is meant to bolsters the Gunners’ academy’s goalkeeper options.

According to record, Setford was born and raised in Holland. He has played for England at youth level and was part of the under-17 squad during last year’s World Cup in Indonesia.

While Setford doesn’t count as a homegrown player, the reports revealed that the goalkeeper will still be eligible for the status if he spends three years with an FA club before the end of the season in which he turns 21.

Speculations revealed Arsenal’s deal with Setford will last four years.

Recall that five youth team goal keepers exited Emirate Stadium at the end of June, which was part of the reason, the Gunners signed Setford.

He is now the third keeper to join the Blues this summer transfer window.
