Done Deal: Arsenal complete signing Anderlecht midfielder on five-year contract
The Gunners have allegedly completed a deal to sign Anderlecht midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga, who sign a five-year contract with the North London club following a quarantine period.
The young midfielder, who has scored 3 times and contributed seven assists in 78 appearances for Anderlecht, has been emphatically connected with a move to the Emirate stadium over the last few weeks.
As per Italian writer Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have now agreed, with the Premier League side due of pay £14.9m plus add-ons for the 21-year-old.
Romano claims that the midfielder has agreed a contract at the Emirates Stadium until June 2026 and dismissed two proposals from Italy to join Mikel Arteta’s side.
Lokonga has scored 3 times and registered three assists in 37 appearances for Anderlecht, but he was not picked to be a part of the Belgium squad for Euro 2020.
Arsenal have also recently affirmed the arrival of left-back Nuno Tavares from Benfica.
