Deal AGREED: Arsenal accept midfielder sale to Fiorentina
Arsenal have supposedly consented to sell Lucas Torreira to Fiorentina once Dani Ceballos completes his return to the Emirates.
Personal Terms have already been agreed and paperwork signd for Dani Ceballos to return to Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid for the 2020-21 season.
When that deal is officially affirmed, There are reports in Italy that the Gunners will permit Lucas Torreira to join Fiorentina in a deal worth £24m overall.
The Uruguayan would at first continue a season-long loan for a £8m fee, with a commitment for Fiorentina to purchase toward the end of the season for a further £16m.
The 24-year-old is down the pecking order at Arsenal last season, completing the full an hour and a half on only three occasions after the turn of the year.
Mikel Arteta sees Ceballos and Granit Xhaka as his best option holding midfielders, while the club have also been intensely connected with a move for Thomas Partey but may need to sell the likes of Lucas Torreira so as to bear the cost of the Atletico Madrid star.
