Arsenal’s Raya named among top three goalkeepers in the EPl

Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Peter Schmeichel in a recent named his top three goalkeepers in the Premeir League.

Schmeichel named Man City’s Ederson as the best at the back in the Premier League currently.

He, however, admitted that Arsenal’s goalie David Raya has been impressive and is closely following Ederson.

Schmeichel during his time with the Red Devils won five Premier League titles. He also played for for Aston Villa as well as Manchester City.

According to Schmeichel, among the current goalkeepers in England’s domestic league, Schmeichel stated that Ederson stands out, above Liverpool’s Alisson Becker who he opined has fall behind Raya given the Arsenal man’s recent form.

Speaking via Stick to Football podcast with Sky Bet, Schmeichel said “Ederson is fantastic in terms of making big saves and 1v1 situations.”

He stated that Liverpool’s Beckers struggles a bit with his feet and there are a few mistakes that he would make that Ederson wouldn’t make.

Ederson has once again remain at top form this season, with Man City being considered favourite to win the Premier League title for the third time in a row.

Arsenal are also hoping they will be able to unseat the Citizens this campaign.
