Arsenal set to sign Bayern Munich midfielder

Arsenal continue to be in the race for new players in the summer transfer window as new report has linked them with moves for Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha.

According to the report, the North London club are ready to sign Palhinha this summer.

With the departure of Jorginho and Thomas Partey, manager Mikel Arteta is focused on signing a new midfielder to replace them.

However, German media outfit, Bild, reported that the Gunners have held ‘serious negotiations’ to see to it that Palhinha completes a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are also said to have shown a strong interest in Palhinha.

The report disclosed that there was ‘almost a major transfer’ before Bayern started their 2025 Club World Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, so far this summer transfer window, Arsenal have signed the likes of Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard, as proof of their determination to bolster their squad under Arteta.

The North London side are also busy on completing their deals for Cristhian Mosquera, Viktor Gyokeres and Noni Madueke.

Arsenal axpected to secure the deals in the coming days as they prepare to play Italian Serie A side, AC Milan, in their first pre-season friendly match next Wednesday.
