Arsenal reportedly make final decision on the future of experience forward
Premier League outfit Arsenal are reportedly ready to let go of France forward Alexandre Lacazette this summer as they attempt to bolster their transfer budget.
The Gunners have been tipped to welcome new players this summer after a horrific 2020/21 season that saw them miss out of all European competition.
Arsenal have been linked with some young players, including Brighton Hove Albion centre-back Ben White.
However, the Gunners are set to let go some players in a bid to allow fresh legs into the team with Alexandre Lacazette among the list, according to transfer expert Ian McGarry.
According to McGarry, Arsenal are actively searching for a club that will pay Lacazette transfer fee as they hope to move on from the Frenchman era.
Talking to the Transfer Window Podcast, McGarry stated that Lacazette is one of the players Arsenal are desperate to sell because in doing so they would get a transfer fee.
He noted that Arsenal don’t mind if the fee was obviously less than what they paid for the player because his contract is so expensive, they would happily accept a lower fee in order to get him off the wage bill, and in doing so make room for younger players who Mikel Arteta has identified as the future of Arsenal, rather than the present or the past.
Lacazette is valued at £25.2million by transfermarkt, having arrived at Arsenal for a reported fee of £46.5million.
