Arsenal rejects second offer worth £30m offer for midfielder
Premier League side Arsenal has rejected another deal worth £30m from Aston Villa for 20-year-old midfielder Emile Smith Rowe.
Smith Rowe has been linked with some clubs across Europe, but Aston Villa has consistently shown their intentions of bringing him to their squad.
Aston Villa already had a £25m offer waved off by Arsenal earlier in the transfer window, but they came back stronger by submitting a second offer worth £30m.
According to the Athletic, Arsenal rejected a new £30m bid for the Hale End academy graduate. The reports added that Arsenal are adamant Smith Rowe is not for sale this summer.
Despite that Arsenal failed to qualify for any European competition, Smith Rowe was one of the Gunners’ top performing players last season.
Aston Villa might return with another deal for Smith Rowe as Dean Smith is willing to have the youngster in his squad next season.
Arsenal have continued to be linked with some players across Europe, and it will come as a surprise that they are not willing to release Smith Rowe.
The London club are hoping to bring in Lille star Renato Sanches as they hope to strengthen their midfield, with Xhaka reportedly seeking a move away from Emirate stadium.
