Arsenal Open to £10m Transfer for Kieran Tierney

Arsenal seems prepared to take a considerable hit on Kieran Tierney’s value, as they reportedly consider offloading the former Celtic star permanently in the upcoming summer transfer window for just £10m.

Having risen through Celtic’s youth ranks, Tierney amassed 170 appearances for his childhood club, showcasing his talents with eight goals and 37 assists.

However, after three years at Arsenal, the 27-year-old has fallen out of favor under Mikel Arteta and spent the last season on loan at Real Sociedad in La Liga.

Despite making 20 appearances for Sociedad, Tierney has made it clear he intends to pursue opportunities elsewhere next season, with the Spanish club opting not to exercise their option to buy.

Returning to Arsenal with two years remaining on his contract, Tierney faces uncertain prospects as the Gunners reportedly contemplate a cut-price sale.

The Sunday Post suggests that £10m could seal the deal for any interested party, with Tierney’s former club Celtic rumored to be among potential suitors.

However, despite the apparent bargain, financial constraints may hinder Celtic’s ability to secure Tierney unless he agrees to a significant wage reduction.

Newcastle United and Aston Villa have previously expressed interest in the left-back and could still view him as a valuable addition to their squads.

Given his injury history, a return to Celtic could provide Tierney with an opportunity to rotate with Greg Taylor, their current first-choice left-back.

Since joining Arsenal in 2019, Tierney has made 124 appearances across all competitions, contributing five goals and 14 assists during his time at the club
