Arsenal officially terminates this winger’s contract
Arsenal have officially terminated the contrast of their player Nicolas Pepe, who is now free to leave the club.
The Gunners in an official statement on Saturday announced that the 28-year-old has left the Emirates.
This comes as Pepe reached a short-term contract with Turkish outfit Trabzonspor.
Recall that the Ivorian winger spent last season on loan with Nice in French Ligue 1 before returning to north London earlier this summer.
However, upon his return, it quickly became obvious that he wasn’t part of Mikel Arteta’s plans for the 2023–24 campaign.
Arsenal in a statement issued via their website said: “We can confirm that Nicolas Pepe is leaving the club. We have agreed with Nicolas to terminate his contract with immediate effect.”
Meanwhile, Arsenal are considered favourite to challenge EPL champions Man City for a title this season.
The Gunners recently defeated Man Utd in a 3-1 win in the Premier League.
