Arsenal get another boost on Odegaard ahead of clash against Liverpool

Arsenal have been handed another injury boost as their captain Martin Odegaard has been included in Norway’s squad for September’s World Cup qualifiers against Moldova as well as a friendly against Finland.

Recall that Odegaard was removed during the Gunners’ match against Leeds United after he suffered a shoulder injury.

The recent update showed the injury was just a minor problem as he was later seen sporting a sling after being forced out of the game in the first half.

There are now speculations that Odegaard could be available for Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool on Sunday, August 31, with Norway staff clearly believing him to be fit enough for internationals in the first half of September.

If the Gunners captain isn’t fit enough to face Liverpool, Arsenal might have to make use of their debut signing Eberechi Eze, who wasn’t on board in time to play any part of the game against Leeds last weekend.

Norway manager Ståle Solbakken while announcing his squad said.

“I don’t have any more details to give you. I actually know just as much as you do. I’ve spoken to Martin, and of course, he has hope too. But it’s an injury that hurts a lot right now.”
