Arsenal led by manager Mikel Arteta are looking forward to bolstering their attack line in the summer transfer window.

The North London clubs have been linked with moves to Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners have the striker on their target list.

With just one year remaining on his contract with Brentford, the striker could be available for around £50million.

Mbeumo will be a boost for Arsenal, considering the fact that aside from being a natural right winger, he can play across all positions in the front three.

This would give Bukayo Saka a chance to rotate more often.

The North London club would, however, face competition Newcastle who appear to be the favourite to sign Mbeumo.

The striker stands a better chance of being a regular in the the Magpies’ starting XI, instead of being a second fiddle to Saka at Emirates Stadium.

Like Arsenal, Newcastle will also be playing Champions League football next season and would want to include Mbeumo in a front three with Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak.

With the right offer, Brentford will be willing to let Mbeumo join Arsenal or Newcastle United.
