Arsenal defender moves to Sheffield United
Another Arsenal player have said his goodbyes to the club this summer transfer window.
This comes as the Gunners confirmed on Thursday that defender Auston Trusty has departed the club to join Sheffield United on a permanent deal.
Arsenal led by Mikel Arteta made this known in a statement via its website as they sent a message to their now-former defender.
“We thank Auston and wish him the best of luck for his future and new chapter,” Arsenal’s statement reads in part.
Trusty, 24, moved to Emirates Stadium from MLS club Colorado Rapids in January 2022.
His performances last season earned him his first USA international cap as he made his debut in a 7-1 win against Grenada in March 2023.
Meanwhile, the Gunners under Arteta are set to compete for trophies next season, having come close to lifting the EPL title last season.
Arsenal who finished second spot on the EPL table behind Man City, will also be playing in the Champions League next season.
