Arsenal made some new signings in the summer transfer window including hijacking major players.

A recent report confirmed that the North London club have signed Piero Hincapié from Bayer Leverkusen.

The Gunners also announced the signing of Hincapie on Monday as the defender arrived at the North London club on a season-long loan with an option to buy for £45m.

Hincapie arrived at Arsenal as their eighth signing of the summer transfer window after they hijacked Eberechi Eze from Tottenham Hotspur by sealing a deal with Crystal Palace.

Reacting to Hincapie’s arrival at Arsenal, the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta said Hincapie has a real physical presence, with versatility and tactical flexibility giving the Gunners strong added defensive options.

“He is a big character, with a very good combination of both youth and maturity,” Arteta added.

Hincapié’s arrival at Arsenal allowed the club approve Jakub Kiwior’s transfer to FC Porto.
