Premier League outfit Arsenal confirmed the loan move of William Saliba to Olympique Marseille some days ago. The youngster fails to appear for Mikel Arteta’s side yet again.
Arsenal beat off competition from some European teams to complete the signature of Saliba in 2019, but he has spent the last three seasons out on loan with including this transfer.
Saliba was tipped to play a considerable role for Arsenal last season but was forced to watch from the bench in the first half of the campaign for the senior team.
It wasn’t too long before he secured a loan move to Nice where her performed brilliantly.
However, his good performance has not gotten him a place in Mikel Arteta’s heart as he will have to spend another season in France.
Speaking to Marseille official website when being unveiled, Saliba aimed a dig at Mikel Arteta by insisting that Marseille manager Jorge Sampaoli wants him in his team.
Saliba states that he spoke with the Argentine and he wanted him in his team.
According to Saliba, Sampaolli explained to him that even though he is a good player now, he has a lot of things to improve and with the Argentine manager, he has a lot of potential to progress.
