It looks like Arsenal will now have to focus on signing a new midfielder from another club this summer as Martin Odegaard, in a recent statement, landed a transfer blow on the North London club.

Odegaard, who played on loan at Emirate Stadium last season, has revealed that Real Madrid have told him he is going nowhere next season as they plan to include him as part of the team.

This is a blow on Arsenal, who had been hoping to sign a permanent deal with the player.

While at Emirate stadium, Odegaard had impressive performance under Mikel Arteta.

But he has confirmed that Madrid have told him he is part of their plans for the upcoming campaign.

“Real Madrid has been clear that they would like me back,” Odegaard said in an interview with Norwegian television channel TV 2.
