Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah has been linked with transfer moves to West Ham.
This comes as a report via SportMail revealed that the Hammers are willing to catch in on the fact that his current contract with the Gunners expires at the end of this season.
Nketiah was in top form for the Gunners for the weekend, scoring twice as they saw off Leeds United 2-1 on Sunday.
The win saw Mikel Arteta’s men open a four-point gap in fourth place ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
Nketiah, who has taken over from Alexandre Lacazette in the squad, only netted a brace against Chelsea last month.
His current contract expires at the end of this season and his agents have held two rounds of talks with Arsenal.
Another meeting is planned to see if they can find a way forward around how much game time he will get.
A number of clubs are monitoring the situation, but West Ham are understood to be in pole position to pounce for the young striker.
