Almost done: Chelsea close to signing Fofana

With a few days left to the close of the summer transfer window, the recent reports revealed that the Blues are close to signing another player.

The report revealed Chelsea have reached a personal agreement with Wesley Fofana and are only waiting for Leicester City to accept their bid for him.

According to Footmercato, Fofana has reached personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a possible switch to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Chelsea are keen on signing the France U21 international but have had a couple of offers turned down by Leicester.

That is apparently the only hurdle the Blues still need to cross.

The latest report disclosed that the Blues are ready to break the bank as they are set to make an £85million bid for Fofana over the next few days, with Thomas Tuchel identifying him as an ideal addition to his backline.

They had seen their previous bids worth £63 million and £70 million rejected by Leicester, who want to keep hold of Fofana at the King Power Stadium.
