Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was pleased with the Gunners win against their rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their North London derby on Sunday.

The 3-2 win against the Hotspurs has kept the Gunners in the race to win the Premier League title after 20 years.

Arsenal led the match with 3-0 lead at the break after Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg headed an own goal.

Bukayo Saka scored the second after a counter-attack while Kai Havertz headed third goal in a corner, and made it look like it would be an easy win for the Gunners.

However the second half was a different ball as a mistake from David Raya allowed Cristian Romero score a goal.

The Gunners then conceded a penalty which Heung-min Son scored to make it 2 goals for the Hotspurs but it was not enough to stop Arsenal.

In a post-match statement, Arteta who said Raya’s mistake was part of the game expressed  delight with how his players responded to that setback, and galvanised as a team to ensure their victory.

“This is part of the game and I love the reaction of the team and especially the individuals that were involved in those mistakes because they showed real character,” Arteta said.

The Gunners remain at the top of the table with one points separating them from Man City, who have a game at hand.
